Welcome, Friends!

Our non-profit organization, Friends on a Mission, was started in 2008 to provide for the needs of underprivileged, terminally ill, and mentally challenged children and their families. Our organization is 100% volunteer driven. This way, you know where your money is going to help the Youth of our area. We are currently focusing our help on the youth in the Greater Charlotte, North Carolina area.

Each year, Friends on a Mission is going to focus on two missions: one financial and one volunteer project. The financial mission is conducted through a grant process to see what projects we can help with. Last year, United Family Services won the grant and we helped renovated their Play Therapy program at their facilities. Due to a successful fundraiser, we were able to help several more Youth programs like Thompson Child and Family Focus.

This year's mission winner

We just wrapped up our grant process and The Relatives is our mission winner for 2010. The Relatives is a 9-bed, co-ed emergency shelter for kids in crisis from 7-17. In order to keep the shelter open, they need to renovate the bathrooms. We are going to be purchasing everything for it and hopefully find someone to put it all together. If we raise enough money, we hope to help some of the other opportunities we received as well.

All in for the Kids Casino Fundraiser

We are gearing up for our 3rd Annual "All in for the Kids" Casino Fundraiser. The event is April 24. There will be plenty of food, drinks, gambling, silent auction, and fun for everyone. We will have limited availability. Tickets are $15 per person. Please RSVP at RSVP@friendsonamission.org or below thru a secured site. We have some great items this year from vacation properties, wine & dinner parties to Qual Hollow tickets.
